The need to automate the collection of vacancies
It was required to collect information from more than 100 UK and international resources to provide potential job seekers with a choice of employment. The data needed to be kept up to date with regular updates and accurate queries.
Checking vacancies against the criteria for sponsorship of a work visa
Because of the narrow focus of the service on foreign applicants, the vacancies that can be placed on the platform should consider the possibility of employing foreign citizens on a Tier 2 visa.
Updating the SOL list
Considering the Ministry of Internal Affairs's regulatory requirements for a work visa, the priority is given to jobs that are rare in the UK, and the list is regularly updated.
Parsing vacancies and requirements for applicants according to platform filters
FTL specialists have introduced tools for regular search and updating of existing vacancies with the opportunity to employ foreigners. Jobs are sorted automatically by category and key platform filters.
Development of an algorithm for checking vacancies according to the criteria for the availability of a work visa
FTL engineers built and implemented a unique algorithm based on ElasticSearch for checking the compliance of the collected vacancies with the criteria for granting a work visa: the company's sponsorship license and others.
Synchronization with websites of UK government departments and agencies
To regularly update the list of in-demand professions, FTL specialists performed synchronization with the resources of the state departments, which allows the algorithm to select relevant queries from job aggregator websites by keywords.
To concretize the prospects of a vacancy for each applicant, a unique calculator for assessing the prospects for issuing a visa was developed. The FTL team built an algorithm that predicts each foreign worker's employment opportunities based on the scoring of the Interior Ministry's visa system. This tool allows you to assess in advance whether the applicant can find a job, obtain a visa for a specific position, and whether the government department will reimburse the visa. It encourages foreign workers to explore each vacancy in detail and constantly search for vacancies directly on UKHired.
FTL engineers implemented functionality based on the calculator for evaluating the possibility of obtaining a visa, which allows applicants to receive recommendations on how to obtain points for employment. So, if the system predicts a low probability of getting a job and a Tier 2 visa, the applicant can find out how to increase his chances. Key reasons: increasing the level of English proficiency, stable financial support, the availability of a document confirming the professional qualification level, and others.
Considering that UKHired was developed as a unified job search platform in the UK, it was required to create the functionality of applying for a job using the service. To do this, FTL specialists developed an algorithm for redirecting applicants to the form for sending a resume to verified employers, which considered the relevance of the vacancy and the availability of employment to foreign applicants.
