Challenges & Solutions

Challenges

Lack of the system for online ordering

Previously, users of the platform could only choose menus and meals, so it reduced the conversion of Nourish and complicated the project development. The management decided to integrate the e-commerce model to shorten the user's.

Need for implementing product delivery system

The introduction of a user's cart with the ability to choose a menu for an individual dish and an integrated plan attracted not only users from Alabama but also nearby states.

Need for implementing subscription to the shopping system

The growing popularity of the project caused an increase in the number of orders, but with a minimal average check. Relying on customer incentives, the sales department decided to implement a subscription system.

Solutions

Integrating service with Shopify

To integrate the store inside the platform, the FTL team carried out the integration of Ruby on Rails / React / Shopify and implemented a personal user account for tracking orders. The website menu is sorted into 6 main categories.

Introducing delivery algorithm

FTL engineers implemented scripts for automatic linking of food delivery by shipping companies UPS or FedEx. The system automatically generates an invoice for sending an order, which is displayed in the user's personal account.

Building a system for subscription to week menu

Together with the chefs of Nourish Meals, FTL specialists have developed weekly meal plans for 4, 6, 8, or 12 meals per week, which can be ordered as part of a subscription by the user in the personal account.

Integration of Stripe payment tools

As a result of implementing an online store and an automatic subscription system for weekly and monthly meal plans, it was required to pay to the service automatically. FTL developers created a payment form and integrated the Stripe payment system with issuing checks and generating reports in the manager's account.

Implementing a flexible system of accounting reports depending on the state of order placing

Considering the geography covered by the project, Noirish Meals management has difficulties with calculating taxes and preparing reports according to the requirements of each state of product delivery. FTL specialists developed diversified algorithms for automated generation of accounting documents and calculation of tax fees according to product delivery/order location. It significantly simplified office work.
